he has yet to run into a PARADOX POKEMON, though he has heard reports of such pokemon lingering in the INTERDREAM ZONE. he had also played holo's route which confirmed the same.[break][break]

A couple of tags urge the cube she stood upon to rise, and as if on cue, a MAGNET RISE came to fruition. The beast rose in height, a floating pyramid with a lone empress within. Her hand gestures for the Stakataka to clear an opening for her to look through, small and narrow - the size of just two cubes.

Fortunately, the thought doesn't linger in her mind for long. Between them, space is torn asunder almost as though the realm itself wished for them to disappear. It acts like a miniature black hole, drawing in both air, the pink mist and the earth itself. In fact, THEO BECKETT and Katherine can both feel the slight pull it has on them as well.

If Katherine weren't warned about this, then she'd be a lot more concerned. However, the MYSTERIOUS ORE in her pocket is enough to quell whatever inner turmoil she may feel. It's tossed easily into the spatial tear in hopes of closing it. If the artifact were to work as advertised, then they should be safe after this.

watch out for what?[break][break]

the MYSTERIOUS ORE explodes before he gets a chance to ask. his milotic curls overhead to shield its trainer from any residual damage but the duraludon is not as lucky. it's tackled by whatever lurked in the mist before being pulled into the spatial tear with it.[break][break]

but it does work as intended. they are safe.[break][break]

She doesn't, and it torments her. Having to fight a wild Pokemon she'd never seen before is one thing, but having to fight one of those without being able to see it-- well, that's just annoying.

Slowly but surely, Stakataka cubes separate from fortress Pokemon and shave a few lines off its top part, still maintaining Katherine well-protected within. Those blocks begin to fly around, searching for their would-be opponent. They're set ablaze by a HEAT CRASH, turning from mere slabs of rock and metal into rapidly accelerating comets.

HEAT CRASH finds its mark, revealing for the briefest of moments what appears to be a gallade except it's...more advanced? he looks at it curiously before seeing the CLOSE COMBAT tear into his duraludon.[break][break]

The Stakataka alone is not enough to handle whatever this Paradox Pokemon is, but thankfully, it isn't. THEO BECKETT's Duraludon provides the distraction and cover they need to land cheap hits. What the two of them aren't enough for, however, is the second Paradox Pokemon in the skies.

The Gallade-looking Pokemon is examined briefly, but a familiar roar steals Katherine's focus. Another one of those..?

"Fuck. There's another one up here! It's one of those weird-looking Salamences!" She recognized its roar. A second capsule is found, and from within it, a Ribombee emerges. "Find it and do something about it," she instructs the fae, prompting it to ascend in height and rise past the mist to find its opponent.

There, a simple DAZZLING GLEAM seeks to blind and distract the dragon while further blows are exchanged on the ground with Gallade.

his milotic flicks a DRAGON TAIL up in an attempt to knock it out of the air, and while it finds contact, it isn't nearly enough to cause it to stray off course.[break][break]

locked in CLOSE COMBAT, duraludon's IRON DEFENSE can only hold up against so much. it melts under the torrent of FLAMETHROWER that lights the area up.[break][break]
